Evaporator

Evaporator which is a part of the vehicle air conditioning system is a heat exchanger which converts cooler liquid from liquid form to the gas form. It is located in the HVAC unit under the front console of the vehicle together with the blower and heater. The air transmitted to the vehicle is the cold air generated in the HVAC cabin in which evaporator is also current.  Pressure of the cooling liquid generated in condenser in liquid form in A/C system is decreased by the expansion valve and it enters into the evaporator in liquid form again.

When air is passed over the evaporator through the blower in the HVAC unit, the cooling liquid makes phase change. The liquid which has converted to gas form absorbs heat from the environment where there is evaporator and the cold air generated is transmitted into the vehicle.
